This year, many searches set
a new all-time high in search interest. Some were expected while others were
bit more surprising.
Google publishes its global list each year along with trends from
different countries, offering insights into the interests of internet users
around the globe.
So here we have Top 10 most searched
terms:-
1. Pokémon Go- Most of you are
familiar with this location-based and reality game for iOS, Android, and Apple
Watch devices that ranked no1 among all searches.
2. IPhone 7 - In consumer technology, the iPhone 7 topped the search list and is
trending now as well.
3. Donald Trump- Trump was number
three among the most-searched topics for the year, behind the iPhone 7 and
ahead of rock icon Prince, who died in April. He is President-elect of the
United States and scheduled to take office as the 45th President on January 20,
2017.
4. Prince- He was an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and
record producer who died in April.
5. Powerball- Powerball is an
American lottery game offered by 44 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto
Rico and the US Virgin Islands owned by Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) which
delivered a record $1.6 billion jackpot in January.
6. David Bowie- He was an English
singer, songwriter and actor who died in January due to liver cancer.
7. Dead pool- It is a 2016
American superhero film directed by Tim Miller starring Ryan Reynolds, Morena
Baccarin and others.
8. Olympics- The top news item
searched on Google was the US election, followed by the Olympic Games in Rio.
9. Slither.io
- Slither.io is a massively multiplayer browser game developed by
Steve Howse which was released in March, 2016 on iOS, Android, Web browser.
10. Suicide
Squad- It’s the second most searched movie behind Dead pool which was released
on August 5, 2016 starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel
Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney and others.
